Proper nutrition is an essential part of a regular exercise program to support ongoing growth and development, recovery and adaptation to routine training and performance. If energy and nutrient needs are not met, one or more of these components will suffer. Dairy foods unique nutrient package makes them an excellent option to include as part of a healthy training diet. National Dairy Council is seeking pre-proposals that examine the role of dairy foods (milk, cheese & yogurt) to support bone and muscle health and athletic performance in adolescent and/or young women. Additional secondary outcomes can be included as appropriate.
