1. Research that leverages new or emerging technology to address industry or consumer needs. Key focus areas

   include, but not limited to:

  • Personalized Nutrition/ Functional benefits (e.g., physical, and athletic performance market, gut health, cognitive benefits)

             - Develop /improve efficiencies of extraction techniques for bioactive/minor components in milk

  • Bioconversion of dairy components to produce value-added products (precision nutrition, specialty ingredients, and packaging solutions)
  • Discover next generation technologies beyond membrane filtration, concentration, and drying for a more efficient and sustainable dairy industry
  • Apply predictive analytic technologies (AI/ML) for monitoring defects and improving quality and consistency of dairy products
